What we collect and why
We collect personal data only where we need it to respond to you or fulfil a contract:
- Enquiries: when you submit an enquiry, ring, email or WhatsApp us, we hold your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry so we can respond, prepare quotes and arrange delivery. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- Customers, for orders and hires we hold billing, delivery and site-contact details for the duration of the engagement and as required afterwards for tax and warranty purposes. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Website. Our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Third-party processors
Enquiry forms are processed by Jobber (Octopusapp Inc.), our client-management system. Our website is hosted on managed infrastructure with content delivery and security services. We do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes.
Retention
Enquiry data that doesn’t lead to an engagement is reviewed and deleted periodically. Customer records are held for the period required by Irish tax law (currently 6 years) after the engagement ends.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any right, email info@hayescabins.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
